<p>Očišćen grah prokuhati u vodi, ocijediti i doliti svježu vodu. Kada prokuha, dodati list lovora, očišćenu i opranu ječmenu kašu, oprane suhe svinjske nogice, luk izrezan na veće kriške, sol i papar. Kada su grah i ječmena kaša napola kuhani, dodati oguljen i na kockice izrezan krumpir. Kuhane nogice izvaditi i posebno poslužiti uz maneš-tru, a jedan dio kuhanog krumpira izmrviti viljuškom da se dobije gustoća maneštre.</p>
